St. Edmundsbury male voice choir from UK took part of Estonian Song Festival in 2009

.... Searching for new places to visit after  having toured 87 countries and islands, I luckily stumbled upon a small family owned and operated travel company in Tallinn, Estonia called HansaTravel specializing in small groups and custom designed tours of the Baltic States, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Having never been to these countries, I decided to contact Hansa Travel for information and promptly received a reply from Helen, a member of the "family". I discussed with Helen all of my interests and with that she was off and running. After e-mailing back and forth and with some fine tuning, my tour was in place and the following June I was off to Estonia for one of my most memorable holidays. That was in the fall of 2011 and I have been returning to Estonia every year since.

The world renowned Song and Dance Festival, cultural events, operas, symphonies, exploring Old Towns and Estonian islands that have maintained their age-old traditions, the many manor homes, rustic accommodations, forests, beaches and National Parks are some of Estonia's treasures not to be overlooked or missed. But perhaps above all, it is the beautiful and friendly Estonian people and the Hansa Travel family with their personal attention, gracious hospitality and devotion to detail that makes Estonia an unforgettable holiday.  ............

See you again in 2015 Helen to experience another  " little bit of heaven ".

Guests from New Zealand were touring the Baltic States and Poland in the end on June 2014:

Our guides in all towns were excellent and the hotels were very good and well positioned. We were particularly grateful that you had advised us to visit Vihula as it gave us a chance to experience midsummer with local people and that we thoroughly enjoyed.
As well as being a good driver Mati shared his knowledge with us  and made an extra effort to introduce us to things that were more local than tourist which again made us very happy.

All in all a very successful trip and we are very happy to recommend you to future travellers.

Dear Helen,
we will never be tired of thanking you and Margi for your efforts and ideas to make of this such a sensational trip to us all. We also had a splendid sunny day in Helsinki, though I agree with you, as I had done it before, that it has not half the charm of such an attractive city as Tallinn.

Dear Helen,
We're back in Bangalore, India. And we just wanted to thank you so very much for making our trip so memorable! And also for coming to our rescue at such short notice. You are awesome! Tallinn was fabulous, Kurusaare was enchanting and Riga was super fun! Vilnius seemed also very nice but we didn't have enough time to spend there. The hotels you picked were fantastically located in every city and that was amazing. Great call! The Tolkuse trail was excellent! We really enjoyed that and I even spotted the rare grey lizard they talk about!
All in all, it was fabulous and I wish we had more time to discover the Baltics but we just wanted to thank you for everything!

A year following our 15 day Baltic States self-drive tour arranged by Helen, my 20 year-old granddaughter and I still reflect fondly on our experiences. We deviated a good bit from the group itinerary listed on the website, including spending two days in Tartu (the university city), and two nights in Parnu that included a full-day excursion to Kihnu Island. The deep relationship that Helen and Margi had developed with all of the tour guides and innkeepers with whom we interacted fostered personalized interactions that greatly contributed to our overall experience. We are especially thankful to Helen for the "above and beyond" planning that she invested in our trip, as well as the several hours that she spent with us in Tallinn to ensure our trip got off to an effective start.

The atmosphere was warmer and warmer from the emotion around us. We wriggled to see the conductor through a sea of Estonian flags; the Mexican waves that surged from the back of the stage to the back of the arena and returning made us feel bound together in one huge entity, that was all-embracing, uplifting, and supportive of all. Sometimes, other people’s national feelings can be aggressive and excluding – but not here, we felt we were swept up and embraced by it, and felt immensely privileged to be befriended by these people, and to share their joy of independence, mutual respect, Love, and national pride.

Before we ever went to Estonia, we read in guide books, that the Estonian people can be quite reserved, and slow to make acquaintances; that friendship for them is precious and protected. This could not be further from our experience. We have found the Estonian people to be among the friendliest we have ever met, and keen to share their lives, joys and enthusiasms with us, as foreigners. More than half our party were offered hospitality in people’s homes, which of course, made it a richer experience for all. ..but the warmth was demonstrable in the streets, and in fellow singers, who wanted us to enjoy the things which were significant and central to them and their lives.

I really liked Estonia and Tallinn and it is the most perfect country I have been to and the first country I have ever returned to!
