WHAT AN EXPERIENCE !
The atmosphere was warmer and warmer from the emotion around us. We wriggled to see the conductor through a sea of Estonian flags; the Mexican waves that surged from the back of the stage to the back of the arena and returning made us feel bound together in one huge entity, that was all-embracing, uplifting, and supportive of all. Sometimes, other people’s national feelings can be aggressive and excluding – but not here, we felt we were swept up and embraced by it, and felt immensely privileged to be befriended by these people, and to share their joy of independence, mutual respect, Love, and national pride.
Before we ever went to Estonia, we read in guide books, that the Estonian people can be quite reserved, and slow to make acquaintances; that friendship for them is precious and protected. This could not be further from our experience. We have found the Estonian people to be among the friendliest we have ever met, and keen to share their lives, joys and enthusiasms with us, as foreigners. More than half our party were offered hospitality in people’s homes, which of course, made it a richer experience for all. ..but the warmth was demonstrable in the streets, and in fellow singers, who wanted us to enjoy the things which were significant and central to them and their lives.

I really liked Estonia and Tallinn and it is the most perfect country I have been to and the first country I have ever returned to!

Just a few words to tell you how much we enjoyed the tour. We really appreciated all the personal touches and found the whole experience humbling and uplifting. Many, many, thanks.
I have never been on a trip where the arrangements -ie YOUR arrangements - worked so well, and my wife & I wish to thank you personally for all that Hansa Travel did for us. There were absolutely NO problems/accidents/losses etc etc....Amazing! A very memorable trip to beautiful places.

Feedback from a lady from US who was touring in the Baltic States in May 2010. It was a small group tour, leaded by Mr. Mati Rumessen
~~~ All three countries were more “advanced” than I anticipated. I would definitely consider Estonia the most-developed of the three, followed by Lithuania and then Latvia. In Estonia, you can even vote in elections online... I was also impressed by the cleanliness of the three countries, but Latvia had a fair amount of graffiti. Read more...

Thank you for doing a great job with the planning of our very interesting journey through Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania; we enjoyed seeing people and places that will be in our memories for years.
Our stay at your farm cabin was definitely a highlight of our travel in Estonia--we liked the quiet environment of the farm area. Hope that your plans for fixing up the ponds goes well--it will be a great place for birds and maybe a quiet place for relaxing.
We liked having a guided tour of the old towns as it gave us a good overview of what is there. We always enjoy going to the old churches and did each time we stopped at a city or village. On out of the way place we really enjoyed is a family (gaigalas) home in Nida, Latvia, where the yard is decorated with things picked up from the beach; there are decorations made from old signs, toothbrushes, fishing nets, fish net floats, etc. We found the information in the Lonely Planet and followed their directions to the area and finally found the house with some help from a kind lady who made a phone call to get us directions. Our drive along the Curonian Spit was another highlight; we took time to walk along the beach to enjoy the sand and surf. Another place we really liked was the Hill of Crosses near the city of Siauliai, Lithuania. We were impressed with the number of crosses left on the hill and the number of visitors to the hill and the monastery.
We are grateful for your help in making our journey through the Baltic States so enjoyable.

Words are not adequate to express my own thanks and those of the choir for the meticulous care and attention to detail that went into the planning of our tour last week, and the charm and enthusiasm you showed us personally.
Everyone, but everyone, was singing your praises and expressing gratitude for the thought, imagination, and sheer hard work that went into ensuring everything went well. We felt we were being treated like Royalty!
Estonians are special people - we were overwhelmed with the kindness and depth of hospitality from yourselves, at Tartu and Tallinn, and feel that we have made some very rich friendships.
